TIPS:

  • Tieghan recommends freezing the cookies for 15 minutes before dipping them in the melted chocolate.  This helps them not fall apart from the weight of the chocolate.
  • Not familiar with medjool dates? This is the perfect recipe to start your new date addiction and one more step to cutting out refined sugar!  Dates are naturally sweet and are a great sugar substitute. I like to buy mine from the bulk section at Whole Foods.
  • Make sure to keep your eye on the chocolate while you are melting it.  Burnt chocolate is not fun to clean up.
