Ginger Sesame Chicken Potstickers with Sweet Chili Pomegranate Sauce by Half Baked Harvest

I admit I have an obsession with Half Baked Harvest’s blog.  I haven’t tried a recipe I didn’t love and these Ginger Sesame Chicken Potstickers with Sweet Chili Pomegranate Sauce are no exception.   This is the perfect meal for a date night in. So pour yourself a drink and make a night of it, my husband and I had a blast making these together!

I often crave Chinese take out but always feel worthless after indulging in the greasy food.  This is the healthiest potsticker recipe I have ever seen and it was absolutely delicious! I used ground turkey and it was the perfect combination with the carrots, ginger, and kale.

Why I love this recipe: The pomegranate sauce adds another healthy element, it is sweet and tart and complimented the dish perfectly.  The additional sesame seeds on the bottom gives nice texture and added flavor.

Tips:

  • Make sure the edges to the wonton wrappers are closed tightly.  You do not want any air bubbles.
  • Don’t use too much filling or they will not close properly.
  • Don’t feel like each potsticker needs to look the same or be perfectly molded.  It should be a beautiful mess, have fun with it!
  • Wonton wrappers are usually found right by the produce section in grocery stores. I struggle finding them at Whole Foods but Reasors should always carry them.

  • TASTE: Delicious, Unique, and Healthy!
  • TIME: Total time is about 40 minutes, worth every minute!
  • TROUBLE: The potstickers are not difficult to make, just takes more hands on work. We truly had a blast making them!
